About us
The Limitless Circus (TLC) aims to provide disabled individuals, and those with experience of trauma and abuse, with accessible circus training, in the form of classes and workshops, as well as events such as performances, fostering better mental health, inclusivity, connectivity, and promoting independence, body strength, and self-esteem.
Circus activities offer unique ways into being physically active for disabled people.
Aerial and floor-based circus is non-competitive, creative, joyous and fun. It can open up new ways of using our bodies, and allow us to experience different kinds of movements and sensations like flying, being upside down, spinning, and more.
For example, using the aerial hammock circus technique, we are able to engage in movements that support the spine, and can lower the head below the heart and raise the legs, which may not be possible for all bodies in other settings.
This makes access to aerial circus activities a unique opportunity for different ranges of movement, safely opening up different experiences.
In addition to the disability-focused activities, specific workshops are also in development for abuse and trauma survivors, deploying the creative nature of circus movement, in a safe environment with trauma-informed practitioners, to offer therapeutic activity.
Holding regular classes and workshops will also provide a space for abuse and trauma survivors to meet, while undertaking shared activities, and develop relationships that can feed into ongoing support networks.
Working with our communities
The Limitless Circus is a Community Interest Company (a CIC). This means we exist to benefit our community, and rather than to make a profit.
The cost we charge for attending our classes and workshops will be reinvested into continuous improvement of the facilities in our space, and into the personal and professional development of our instructors. This means we can continue to improve what we offer to our communities.
We will be holding advisory conversations with our communities, to learn from their diverse perspectives and make sure we are offering what they need. If you would like to be included, please contact us.

The Limitless Circus is currently in the process of developing classes and improving our premises. We will soon be announcing a schedule of aerial and floor based circus activities, as well as community gatherings.
